Gatekeepers

Any political commentary I make will not last past the election date. I was happy to see the back of Trudeau but do not want to see a divisive, ever-partisan PP running the country. I’ve seen enough of him. I will send a few notes on what I know about PP over the next few days/weeks and then will go back to posting photos and try to stay away from politics from then on.

PP often rails against “Gatekeepers”. A Gatekeeper is a general term for anyone or anything that provides limits or restrictions.

Elon Musk also complains about gatekeepers.

Both like cryptocurrencies. Cryptocurrencies allow for peer-to-peer transactions that don’t go through central banks (or any banks for that matter) – eliminating all government controls (such as control over inflation).

PP was comfortable fraternizing with the “Freedom Convoy” that fought vaccine mandates by government health official gatekeepers like Bonnie Henry here in BC. He seemed unconcerned that freedom for some to not get vaccinated could mean the death for others who were and are susceptible to diseases like Covid, measles etc. There also seemed to be little concern for the so-called gatekeepers who receiving death threats and for the people in Ottawa whose freedom was being restricted by the convoy.

PP will tend to eliminate “gatekeepers” where he sees them. Gatekeepers are often there for a reason, however, such as oversight and safety.
