Many of the chateaux in the Loire, I’m sure, are surviving with the help of entrance fees from tourists. In the case of this particular chateau, the gardens no longer exist and the inside looks like they have had to sell the furniture. The look of the outside of the chateau is amazing though and they serve a very nice lunch out of a separate building. Parking was pay parking as well (parking in the other two chateaux we went to was free) and it was one of those parking lots for which google was unable to locate the entrance.
