Telegraph Cove, Day 1

Breaching Humpback
We typically don’t see whales when going around Espiritu Santo (marine park near La Paz, Mexico). However, a number of years ago, on a trip we made a few days after losing my camera, we followed a humpback that breached about 10 times. This photo was taken with Wayne Bradley’s Point & Shoot.

Whale Watching
There are a lot of places to go whale watching off the coast of BC including here in Nanaimo. The challenge is to see a breaching humpback or a pod of Orcas. Most of the time all you will see is a whale fin off in the distance. The first item in the following link…
