Nova Scotia – Halifax

Kim and I arrived late Saturday evening in Halifax and had supper at Darrel’s down the street. The waitress suggested the Cape Split hike when we get to the north coast so we might try that. Meanwhile we started watching After Life (written and directed by comedian Ricky Gervais) on Netflix (watch it if you get a chance) and the next day wandered around Halifax. The two highlights were the Halifax Public Gardens and the Maude Lewis exhibit at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia. They have moved the inside of her house (which was tiny) into the exhibit – below with some of her pictures.

Julie and I watched a documentary on her some time ago – very interesting – but I don’t know where you would find it at this point in time.

Below are a couple of pictures of the Gardens, from the Citadel and along the Halifax waterfront (a 2.6 km boardwalk).

Next stops, Peggy’s Cove and Lunenburg.
