We set off to Peggy’s Cove and took some pictures of the cove, lighthouse etc.
Above is a monument to the fishermen at Peggy’s Cove, carved by William DeGarthe and one of his students. DeGarthe actually passed away before it was completed.
A short distances outside of Peggy’s Cove is a monument to Swissair 111 which crashed into the ocean in September 1998, killing all 229 aboard.
We stopped for lunch in Chester.
When we came out an SUV had almost completely blocked the back of our car but with much manoeuvring, I managed to get around it. From Chester we drove over to Lunenburg and wandered around before heading home.
Tomorrow we head off to Annapolis Royal.
