We noticed some rhododendrons in Vancouver. There is a rhododendron grove in Bowen Park but nothing there yet. It has been abnormally cold here. Here is a picture taken a few years ago in Bowen Park.
One of my favourite flowers is the California poppy. This picture was taken at a neighbour’s down the street. Behind the flower was a the shadow of a large log so the background appears black.
You find these poppies all over the place. Here are a few more pictures.
Sometimes the background is a distraction but sometimes it adds to the photo.
