The Jack Point Trail is an easy 20 minute drive from downtown Nanaimo and runs beside the Nanaimo Estuary. Here is a 1 minute video. Unfortunately when I was over yesterday I didn’t have a camera with a telephoto lens. 17 herons came into the estuary all at the same time but I didn’t get a single photo. One of the old photos in this video has a picture of Jason with Jasper and another includes Julie with her red jacket.
