Trastevere is the place to wander around at night – lots of good restaurants and bars. Ten years ago, there were musicians around every corner and in every piazza but no longer. There are still musicians on the pedestrian bridge – the ponte sisto – but none elsewhere. I don’t know if they have been pushed out by the crowds but it isn’t as interesting as it used to be – just way too many people. We still went out in the evenings but it wasn’t as enjoyable as it had been the last time we were here.
