Our last days wandering around Lucca: we came across a neighbourhood street party, a craft market, a Romanian Orthodox Church and had a meal at the best restaurant so far in Italy – Osteria da Pasquale here in Lucca. They not only presented us with a great appetizer that we didn’t order but the main meal was great as always and when we got up to leave, they insisted on us sitting back down and presenting us with a wonderful dessert. Despite all the walking, I don’t think we are losing any weight here.
Tomorrow we head to Cinque Terra – 3 trains to get there. The weather has been in the 29-32 range here but for the 5 days in Cinque Terre – highs of 22 and quite a bit of rain in the forecast.
