The third photo shows a figure in silver ready to take flight. What isn’t shown is the part below it which is in the shape of a wave with 86 names written on it. This is a memorial to the tragedy that occurred during the celebration of Bastille day on the Promenade des Anglais in 2016 when someone purposely drove a cargo truck into the crowd. 86 people were killed and 400 injured.
There is a photo of La Musee des Beaux Arts but none of the inside because like a number of museums around Nice – it is closed,
The one metal statue towards the end is of Charles Aznavour.
Food: sea bass at La Vague and paella at Boccaccio’s – dinner for two but enough to take home for another meal.
