1. The first photo is the imagined one. The thought process behind “imagining” rather than “taking” this photo is as follows: I could have put my rubber boots on, rounded the kids up, bundled then into the car, and taken them down to the beach to take the photo but … the kids are in their 50’s and 60’s, live 3000 km away, and the last time I owned a pair of rubber boots was over 10 years ago. Of course I could have just found someone with rubber boots, borrowed some kids and taken the same picture but that’s well beyond both my organizational and social skills. As a result I just sat in front of the computer and imagined the photo (Midjourney) instead of taking it.
