Courtenay – more photos

We spent a bit of time in town. The pedestrian bridge is new since last we were in Courtenay. A family was crossing with their tubes after tubing down the river.

In the evening we walked by the river along the path close to our hotel. There is an airport for small aircraft along the way. The half truck was interesting. I assume it is for moving amphibious aircraft between the airport and the river (we noticed a ramp). Most people (I think) would have put the trailer on the back of truck but this trailer was on the front with the rear of the truck completely removed. It looks very odd, appearing to be about to fall to the ground any minute.

A few other places we went: Filberg Park – a huge park where they have the Filberg Art and Music Festival each year; Goose Spit Park; the Gardens on Anderton Road – gardens run by volunteers in the back of a nursery.
